Expressive Loss & Grief – grief support in Hobart

Are you struggling to process your pain alone?

Next 6 week group commencing: Thursday 16th January, 10-12noon.

How might you benefit from this style of grief support?

This Expressive Loss & Grief Support Group is one way you can intentionally care for yourself as you wade through a deeply painful and challenging time.

Working creatively can support you to express yourself without the use of words. Loss & grief changes us, pushing us into a tumultuous ocean of the seemingly unbearable, inviting us to explore new ways of being in the world. Grief calls us to bear the unbearable and create a new version of who we are. I can guide you in harnessing your intuition through creative expression as you gently integrate your pain.

But, can’t I do this work alone?

Sure you can! There isn’t one right way to grieve. But here you are, on this page! So, ask yourself if working creatively within a small group would support your healing? I know it can be daunting at first to enter the unknown. But bravely stepping out, safely opening our hearts and allowing others to witness our grief is medicine for the soul. I am here to help you to find new ways to honor your loss and heal your sacred scars.

Is this group right for me?

Grief itself is deeply subjective and the definition broad. We can experience deep grief and loss for a loved one, a pet, our health, career, relationship, a lost world, or dream. Grief can be recent or long ago.

Have you experienced a significant loss of someone or something close to your heart? Do you want to practice ways of calming your nervous system? Do you want to express your pain creatively as you bravely enter this next chapter of life? If your answers are yes, then this compassionate work may be just what you are looking for.

Please note that while there is opportunity for group sharing, the focus is not on conversations and expression through the spoken word.
