Big Moon – Big Feelings

As I sat and watched this magical moon rise up into the night sky, I felt so happy and excited. My mind took me back in time, transporting me to the small child, standing on my grandmothers verandah eyes glued to this magical sight.

Once again, for a moment, I became the small child. Within the moon, I always saw a rabbit and someone else sitting at a dining table. What do you see I wonder?

We each have our own experiences, our own interpretations.

Besides the moon, different sights, sounds, smells and sensations flood our senses on a daily basis.

‘Now’ experiences take us back to linked past experiences (its how our mind naturally works) and our body re-feels.

A lot of the time when we re-feel, we have no idea of the connection because our body stores sensation and our mind stores thought patterns.

Have you ever felt very sad, maybe terrified or anxious and have absolutely no idea why? Your body experiences this right? Your body has been reminded of something in the past which has not yet been fully integrated. To make things worse, our mind has a tendency to project thoughts into the future too, creating more overwhelm.

The logical mind makes sense of life through ingrained stories as we become caught within a closed loop pattern of limited thinking and possibilities. We can create our very own living hell.

This is a sign of blocked energy and a reminder that deep inner work is in the curriculum as we journey through this school of being human.
