Grief and loss are accompanied by a deep searing pain, like non other.
Grief changes us, pushing us into a tumultuous ocean of unbearable emotion that invites us to explore new ways of being in the world. Grief invites us to bear the unbearable.
Expressive Grief Work in a group setting is extremely healing, providing a set time and space for individuals to intentionally connect to others who are also processing bereavement and loss. While there is nothing to fix and there is no right or wrong way to grieve, we can support each other as human beings through listening, sharing and being. We can hold space compassionately and without judgement. We can support each other as we walk together along our unique life path.
Ceremony: In our current times there is the much needed resurgence in the use of ceremony as a way of remembering and honoring those we love, the land we live on, rights of passage, our connection to self and the magic life itself. Beyond funeral services and end of life celebrations, we can work more deeply with ceremony and rituals as a means of working through the our loss and bereavement, honoring memories and celebrating life. Customized, deeply meaningful ceremonies are on the increase and part of the shift we are seeing as more people open their hearts to deeper meaning and connections.
“Birth, death and suffering, all bring us to the very edge of what our mind can understand” Ram Dass
